Asian Pork Meatballs

I made some delicious meatballs go to with peanut butter noodles and stir fry tonight.


Asian Pork Meatballs
1 lb lean ground pork
1/2 small onion, grated
1 T. soy sauce
1 clove (½ tsp dried) garlic
< 1" ginger, grated
salt & pepper
1 egg
1/3 C. breadcrumbs
3 T. oil

Mix together all ingredients except oil.  Separate mixture into quarters, and then each quarter into quarters for 16 meatballs, or 6 for 24 meatballs.  Fry in oil on medium heat for 10-12 minutes.
 
Variations include substituting 1 tsp. crystallized ginger, green onion for grated onion, and adding red plum jam either into the meat mixture or overtop as a glaze.
